Steve Flairty loves to shine light on Kentucky's most admirable citizens, many of whom are known only in their local communities, but nevertheless inspire many others to greater acts of character.
After releasing his first book, Tim Farmer: A Kentucky Woodsman Restored in 2005, he followed in 2008 with Kentucky's Everyday Heroes, a collection of 37 uplifting profiles ranging to all parts of the state. Steve is a former public school teacher and a senior correspondent for Kentucky Monthly.
